I was Born in Dallas, TX & was raised on a small farm. I was an athlete growing up & ended up running for Dallas Baptist University. In college I coached middle school & high school girls sports, which is how I found my passion for teaching.

I married my husband Tommy in 2006, and we have a 12 year old daughter, Mia.
I am a Licensed K-8 Educator with almost 20 years of experience teaching high school, middle school, elementary & early childhood.

In my free time I enjoy gardening, sports/games & laughing with friends.
I love all of God’s creatures, from dogs to frogs, and my favorite place that I have visited is the beautiful island of Ireland. I would love to return one day & continue to travel the world.

I was born and raised in South Pasadena, CA. I prayed to receive Christ at 18 and got involved with campus ministry at UC Berkeley where I studied Art History. I first came to South Lake Tahoe in 1996 for the Campus Crusade Summer Project. My husband Chris and I began volunteering with Sierra Community Church, working under Pastor John Aldax with the Jr. High and High School ministry. I also regularly volunteered in the Nursery until 2008 when I was asked to become a member of staff as the Sunday School Director and Assistant Children’s Ministry Director. In 2021, I accepted the role of Children’s Ministry Director, bringing on Ali Insinna as my Assistant Children’s Ministry Director. In 2023, I passed the baton of leadership to Ali and became the Assistant once again. I have three wonderful children: Jane, Peter and Stephen, and I love creating art! I absolutely love the Tahoe Summers, but a close second would be hiking in the Fall, followed by Skiing in the Winter.
