Bethany Jarvis

I grew up in good ole Nebraska and I'm still a proud NE Cornhusker to this day! I was raised in the Christian Church, but wandered off from God in college and during my service in the Army. I have quite the prodigal son story that I'm happy to share with anyone who wants to hear it. I lived in Florida for several years before moving to Tahoe in 2014 with my now-husband, Tim. God continued pursuing us through our rebellion and helped us find Sierra Community Church after being in Tahoe for a year. I haven't looked back on my previous lifestyle and I'm proud to say I'm now sold out for Jesus! We've called Tahoe home since we joined our Sierra Community Church family. We can't imagine living anywhere else!

I first joined the church staff as a secretary in 2018, but in 2022 I was asked to step into the Worship Director position. It was a scary move, and I'm still not sure I qualify, but I'm so thankful God continues to pull me out of my comfort zone and impart His strength so I can lead where's He's asked me to lead.

A few fun facts about me:
I LOVE hiking and backpacking in Tahoe-Summer is definitely my favorite season!
My dream job as a kid was 'to be a missionary and fly and airplane.'
My favorite place to visit was India-I went there on a short-term missions trip and it captured my heart.
